Seeing how I am now on a strict budget and I like the style of the bike I thought it might be expeident of me to ask around about the new Concourse. My main concerns are engine and transmission problems. Those are the two areas that I do not feel confident in my mechanical abilities. 8)

Anyone know good/bad/ugly regarding this motorcycle? Thanks for the input.

Personally, I love the "Connie". It's not the fanciest or the fastest but it is certainly one of the most bomb-proof sport-tourers ever made. They are extremely reliable and I've read countless stories of 100,000+ mile Connies. The vibration, or the "buzz" you'll read about is a well-known issue, but there are ways to overcome it.

I would highly recommend the Concours to anyone on a budget looking for a sport-tourer.

I agree. The ol' bird has been around a while, but that means all the issues have been addressed either by Kawasaki or the aftermarket.

A tried & true long distance steed. Vibration is the only negative issue I've ever heard of. It must not be much, there are a lot of Connies out there, and they still look nice, too.
