Tough Weekend for the #Beta Team

Press Release
Paso Robles, CA
For Immediate Release

Beta USA's factory team had a tough weekend at round 5 of the GNCC series held at a new venue in Society Hill, South Carolina. The event conditions looked to be perfect until a system passed through Sunday AM and did not let up turning the course into a swamp. The race was shortened by one hour due to the conditions.

Tegan Temple had the best finish with 6th however was not happy as he was in second after one lap until he got stuck in a mud hole. Teammate Jesse Groemm had worse luck as the New Jersey native led the entire race by more than one minute only to have an engine overheat on the last lap due to too much water and mud ingestion. On a good note, Groemm closed a few points to the series leader Trevor Bollinger as he also suffered a DNF due to an engine failure.

" The Camp Coker Gncc is a new venue in SC, It poured rain all morning and the race was a complete mudfest . I had a early lead in XC2 and made my way into 2nd overall, I lead the whole entire race with a one minute lead going into the final lap. I was having one of my best ever rides and my Beta 250 RR was working perfect until unfortunately on the last lap we lost all the coolant in the bike causing it to overheat and melt the head resulting in a DNF. A tough pill to swallow for sure as the team and I where looking forward to our first win, we may have been knocked down at this round but we will learn everything we can from this DNF and keep charging forward into the next round in Indiana. A huge thanks to Beta USA, my mechanic Jeff Pasqua, Fly racing, Sidi boots, Scott goggles, Leatt, Kenda tires, Beta factory suspension and all our other great sponsors " Jesse Groemm explains.

Tegan Temple describes his race, "I came into this weekend with everything I needed to get back on the podium, I got a mid pack start an was able to make my way to second by the end of lap one, my speed was there, my suspension is the best it's been all year and so was my fitness but ended up getting stuck twice and going down too many times and ended up 6th for the day. Not where I want to be but I'm going to carry the good an not the bad onto the next one."
