I was thinking about getting one of these bikes this year or next and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything good bad or otherwise about them. I have a nighthawk 750 now but looking to get a new honda and I really like the looks of this bike what do you guys think?

shouldn't be too different from your hawk. just a lot more power. the 919 is a standard like your hawk. Has the CBR919 engine and gearbox. dont know the HP figure exactly but I would guess almost double the hawks hp.

I demo'd one this summer. Very impressive bike. It has a light and balanced feel. Loved the ergos, could ride it all day. Power starts from down low and just climbs, no flat spots detected. Gives a great gutteral punch on take-off. Beautiful throttle action, smooth and linear fuel injection. Instrumentation was easy to read even in the bright daylight. Clutch action was progressive, no heavy pressure required on the lever. Stock exhaust is good looking tucked up the way it is and delivers a most pleasing sound, as in powerful. I didn't put enough distance on it to call it possible touring material, but I strongly feel that it would make a good distance bike as well as a street fighter. Also, the day we had it out temperatures were just scorching hot. The engine never faltered, there wasn't eccessive heat coming off the engine to the rider and the temp gauge never budged past "normal". Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the 919. A first class machine.

sounds like a worthy successor to the nighthawk to me. iirc the 750 hawk isn't sold in the US anymore. Would be nice to have a standard between the 250 hawk and the 599 in hondas lineup.

I'm really happy with my 599. It's almost the same except the 919 has two mufflers at the back-nice balanced look. Handling, performance great.....seems to be a natural progression coming from the 750.

seems like everybody likes their 599s.
Whats the deal with 2 mufflers on the 599 but not the 919?
a 599 is basically a standard version of a CBR600F4i thats naked, but the CBR only has one muffler?
