Well, been riding my 84 Seca around (put 20Km's on it so far, got the whole shifting thing down) I am having a pretty big problem though, In that in those 20kms I have fouled both plugs 3 times (had to change them, black as this text) any suggestions as too why this is happening? its not oily residue, just black carbony looking stuff, Carb ajust needed maybe?

How long did the bike sit before you started riding it? What does the air cleaner element look like? I'd check that and run a tank or two through it before you mess with the carb. If both plugs look the same, I'd bet the air cleaner element is cruddy. Also, if the bike has been sitting awhile, the float(s) may be sticking.

are you remebering to un-choke it once it's warmed up?

Definitely sounds like it's running too rich to me .

Air Filter is brand new, I had the carbs cleaned and adjusted before I put it on the road. I asked the mechanic who did the work for me about it, and he said it could just be some crap from inside the gas tank working its way out, just ride it for a tank or two. Im planning on adding a can of the carb cleaner/tuneup in a can too the next tank of fuel so Ill see if that helps. Thanks for the ideas though.

Generally, if some crap works it way into the carb, it will run lean 'cause something's plugged up.

Check to make sure you choke/enrichener is all the way off. (linkage?)
Check to make sure the floats are not sticking or set too high. Both could cause rich running.
Ask the guy who worked on them to pull them back off and double check everything again, this time with you there watching.

Finally, don't go crazy with the carb cleaner. It can make things worse if there is too much crud in the tank/carbs. Use the CORRECT AMOUNT! Don't just dump in a bunch and say "that oughta doer"
