To paint or not to paint?

I have been thinking about painting the wheels on my nighthawk for a couple weeks now but I am not sure if this is something that I should try to do myself or if I should have it done professionally. I like to try to do all of my customizing myself but I just don't know on this one, I want it to come out right. I was wondering if anyone has painted wheels on there bikes and if so what type of paint was used and if there was somewhere I could get info on how to do this right. There is a pic of another nighthawk I found today that has the wheels painted in the photo gallery that is almost exactly what im looking to do on page 18 of the honda section if anyone is interested. Any advice and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'd give it a shot myself first and them maybe consider a professional if i didn't like it. i'd at least make the attempt. You'll like it better if you do it yourself and it comes out great.

I'd go for it.
I've painted car wheels before and had excellent results using Duplicolor wheel paint. Take the wheels off the bike and make sure you clean them really well. Use 3M masking tape to mask areas you don't want painted.
I'm planning to paint my wheels over the winter.
