I believe that both the above were used as source material for the Deathstar attack in StarWars IV
12 Angry Men (Henry Fonda and 11 other actors in one room in real time. B&W but riveting)
The Man in the White Suit (Sir Alec Guiness What happens if someoen develops clothes tht never need washing?)
