Does anyone know of a good way to remove little black spots (from brake dust I assume) from a wheel, I have tried meguiars hot rims cleaner, it worked great to get the wheel clean but did not remove the spots. I was thinking maybe a cleaner/degreaser but do you think it would be to strong?

Mythbusters used Coke on an old truck with chrome bumpers, worked a treat.

The little black spots could be tar. Brake dust is just that, dust; a fine coating on the wheel...
