Fuel

Okay here's the deal. I bought a motor that came off of a wreck 04 Suzuki GS500. I made a project out of it and put the engine on a buggy. The problem I am having is it seems I am getting too much fuel to the carburetors. If I turn the fuel off and try cranking it it will start about five seconds before it runs out of gas if I turn the fuel on it just floods it.
