Hello. I want to buy a Honda Cbr300r from the dealer. Its got 5000km on the clock. Guy says the bearing on the crank siezed thl and they are waiting for parts to fix it up. The bike is going for a good price. So I was wondering if its a good idea to purchase? It will still have a year warranty on it afterwards. Just I dont want issues afterwards. Apparently it was a factory default that caused the bearing to sieze.
Im new to riding and this will be my first bike.
Hope this is the right place to post this. I wasnt sure which subject to put it under.
Thanks for your help

I think you can trust the dealership to do the repairs right, so I wouldn't worry much over having further issues. And if you do you'd still have that year warranty but it'd suck to have the bike laid up for repairs.
One suggestion, I might spend a minute on a forum specific to Hondas and ask if anyone else has had this problem on their CBR300. If it's a factory bug someone else has probably dealt with it. They could give you a better picture of post-repair reliability.
Just my $0.02.
