Riding a Sport bike: Can you control Yourself?

Hi everybody!
Recently I had my 1st experience on a Sportbike, the zone to test it wasn't the best (City) but however I had a great time
The bike is an Honda CBR 954 Fireblade (2003) an "Old School" Bike with 151 HP and 0 Electronics
I noticed that my approach to safety changed suddendly after 5 minutes: with my SV (2 Cylinders, 75 HP and a good torque on low/medium Rpm) usually I take it more easy on this kind of roads but with this CBR I've took many more risks, speeding a bit too much in a zone where is better to stay calm (I've been a douche I know
)
4 Cylinders fault?
Can You control yourself while riding a beast like this?
