Does anyone know if there are products available to supply power to a CD player from a bike's battery while you ride?
I'm sure there must be, but I'm having a hard time searching for one since I don't know what it would be called.
Some sort of DC transformer I guess?
Thanks for the help!
heres an idea

If your player runs off of a dc adapter you can get a converter to change your dc into posotive and negative clips strip the wires and cutt off the clips then connect to battery

Sure. You can find stacks of them at any Best Buy store. Since it's DC to DC, they're not very complicated. They all have cigarette lighter plugs on one end. You can either install a fused socket into your bike (good idea) or take the plug apart and hardwire the adapter directly to hot and ground in your electrical system.
I have a CD/MP3 player and it runs for about 20 hrs. on 2 AA batteries. It's hardly worth going to the trouble of wiring an adapter on to the bike.

My minidisc player runs for 48hrs on a single AA battery. Why would I want to wire it to the bike?

Mine's just about useless on the bike, particularly on the highway. Even with earbuds, the outside noise overwhelms it.
