2001 Suzuki Savage 650. Battery is less than 2 months old.
I am pretty certain that I didn't leave the lights on or anything like that, but now it just won't get any power (no horn or headlights or anything). I rode the bike for about an hour this morning, and went to take it for a spin again in the evening. I sat on the bike and it had power. The headlight and neutral light were on. I hit the ignition button and it started to turn over then the whole thing died. Any ideas how I should start troubleshooting this?
Might be unrelated, but this thing has a Supertrapp exhaust. It was just the pipe with no baffles, but it was loud as hell, so I bought the baffles and core assembly from Supertrapp and installed it this morning. As I said, it rode fine for a few hours, I was actually really happy with the performance.
Any thoughts on what this might be?
Thanks for your time!

Hello, I have this problem with my bike before, I think you should check these things first:
- The battery, if it's properly connected,
- The ignition switch, if its defective
- Or the fuse of your motorcycle.
I hope this will help, if not, you should just send it to the motorcycle repair shop.

Do you have a volt meter to test the battery voltage....
Or a test light to tell if a switch has any power?
Do you have a manual for the bike?

If your bike is totally dark. No lights etc. and the main fuse is still good. Follow your battery ground cable to the engine. Remove the screw holding it to the engine. Wire brush or sand paper both sides of the cable eyelet and engine surface and reinstall the cable. For added measure, do the same for both of your battery terminal cables and wire brush the battery terminals. This should solve your issue.
