Okay, so here's an interesting one.

let's say you have a licence and now need to sort out everything else.

you have $3000 (cand). HOw much of this would go on bike, and how much on kit?
remember, you have to get Helmet, Jacket, Gloves, Boots etc as well as the bike.
So, let's see a shopping list!

For me, that would be £1300.

my list would be (give or take)

Helmet - Lazer Revoltion, £100
Gloves - Buffalo Keprotecs, £20 (from BMF show)
Boots - JTS - £65
Jacket - Belstaff - £80
Leather Trousers - BGB shopbrand - £50 (were in a sale!!)

leaving just under a grand for the bike...
so, where's that 2nd hand section...

For me:

Helmet: Shoei: $300
Gloves: Leather ones that fit $45
Boots: ankel high, Steel toe work boots $ 50
Pants: Carharts: $65
Jacket: Textile $245

Leaves me $ 2295 for a used ride or a really small ride new
