I haven't seen the show. Do they provide the contestants with frames or do they have to construct those, too? As long as no frame fabrication was involved (I haven't welded in years) I believe I could assemble a bike from the ground up, and even plan on purchasing a kit bike later in life to customize to my heart's content.

Even the engine and tranny are assembled already? Well, dang, in that case I'm certain I could do it. With the frame and drivetrain in hand, all that's left is assembly of all the components.

Somebody told me the other day that I could. I'm not sure, but probably.

I buzz right along on projects when I set my mind to them. I couldn't get 30 days off, though. I'm hoping to finish my tailpiece by this weekend, and it's a spare time project. It's been through a two week creative/constuction destruction cycle, and is coming together for good now. If I actually planned it out on paper first, It would be done now...but less fun to build. Once it's done, the building fun is over...my favorite part.
Ride safe...God bless!

Sweet bike wizzard!

And no I couldn't build a bike myself. I have a hard enough time doing repairs and maintenance on mine as it is.
