For gas shortages due to the hurricane in the gulf. King George announced it about an hour ago. Glad I have plenty of ammo, shooting at the pumps will be next. People aren't as nice as they were back in the '70's. Now we will see ROAD RAGE!
A giant thank you, George. Not for the big wind, which is probably not your fault, but for the war $ billions that would be better spent right here in the US.

$3.00 here--I have 40 gallons in my pickup, will sell when it reaches $3.75 or to highest bidder in a couple weeks. We have cut back on travel big-time. Leaving the garage door shut saves a lot of money.

Still not close to the $6 we're paying in Italy
Hopefully this craze will be over by the time I get back to the states in 2 years...

On the other hand I may never come back, if New Orleans is any indication of what the future of American society is going to look like.

if the government would just give the ones that wont get off their arses and work enough money to live large, all of them could have their own airplanes and fly out when this type thing happens.

It's just an AC spike in a DC waveform - the rest of the US is just as good as you rememeber it.

Gee, suddenly drilling a few holes in the middle of an icey, desolate wasteland to get at the oil underneath doesn't sound like such a bad idea, does it?

Indeed!
