I wonder why

The national guard was called in to re-take control of the streets in New Orleans? It took them FOUR full days and nights to mobilize and get down there. Did King George pull them from the lines in Iraq? That would be the only rational excuse for the slow response.
Meanwhile, residents in NO have reverted to the neanderthal level, raping and pillaging to their heart's delight with no fear of reprisal. One of the news channels said police were turning in their badges and quitting, rather than be endangered by armed mobs.

that idiot of a governor is the reason it took so long to get the national guard in there.she was too busy taking advantage of a photo opportunity to get the guard in there and shoot them looters.and she still "might"order them to take whatever action is necessary to restore order.just one more incompetent fool worried about votes in the next election.

Yeah, not only is it Bush's fault that the guard got their so late, he in-fact created Hurricane Katrina with the help of Evil Conservative Enterprises for some unforeseen political gain.

Is there anything you won't blame Bush for? I think you give far too much credit to the Oval Office. The Left is already blaming the hurricane on global warming for goodness sake. That's arrogance at a whole new level. :frusty:

I hear they serve goat barbecue in Texas. Probably George's idea.
Gas prices and coming shortages are George's fault for sure. He's bound to blame something else, though.

Hey, even georgie boy chastised his own government for being slow to act...

Wait a sec... isn't he the head of that gov't???

Blame what you want on GW, or support him with all your heart, the fact of the matter is that it has taken way too long to respond in this disaster. The response to this last winter's tsunami was quicker...

Quite well. Business Week forecasts them to be the world leader in terms of gross domestic product by 2050. They are comers, just needing to learn how to be more efficient. In 2004, they consumed 47% of the world's production of cement. They are building things. I heard Honda is building car factory there, too.

Unless of course Bush has taken a great deal of the state's National Guard and sent them over to his pet project in Iraq. Or was that the Governor of Louisiana who sent the national guard to Iraq? I forget.
