Yamaha is introducing the new R1 LE (Limited Edition) for 2006, which isn't just a fancy paint job with a few extra stickers thrown on it. The new R1 LE features a host of performance upgrades aimed to increase the handling and improve the bike's ability to get around a racetrack.

The bike features a back torque-limiting slipper clutch for the first time, which will make the units eligible in Superstock competition. Forged aluminum gold Marchesini wheels are not only very strong but lighter as well. The rear suspension features an adjustable bottom link and an Öhlins custom-valved fully adjustable rear shock with hydraulic preload adjuster and high and low-speed compression damping adjustment. The front fork is a 43mm Öhlins custom-valved fully adjustable inverted fork with high and low-speed compression damping adjustment. The R1 LE features Yamaha 50th Anniversary Yellow/Black paint with special trim and badging in addition to a gold chain, exhaust covers and tank emblems. Pirelli Diablo Corsa tires will come standard on the LE.

Can I add

+Looks the bul****
+Very fast
+A lot of torque
+Very good built quality
+Probably the Best engine on the market ( drive it at 80mph for 2 hours and it doesn't brake a sweat )
+Widened to 50" and it corners like a car
+Cheap parts
+Comfy ride ( possibly enough room for 2 people ) be aware that even if its plg'd as a 2 seater some police know that its not legal for a passenger unless they have foot pegs ( the normal nerf bars are not acceptable for the passenger )
+Loves trails, hills, sand and rivers.
+Everyone has one

Not So Good Points

-Eats tires (on road , last much longer off road )
-Vibrates a lot (Screws, nuts&bolts and accessories can fall off due to vibration )
-Can be costly to fix (£2000 of damage from a wheelie gone wrong at 5mph)
-Not so good for racing
-Very loud even with standard exhaust
-Expensive to insure (probably the most expensive quad to insure on the market )
-Everyone has one
