Hey everyone

Ive been lurking around for the past few months and have decided to get productive and join...

Im a 21 year old guy from South Africa, I purchased my first bike just over a month ago, it's a '91 Bandit 400 Ltd. edition which has been running great and unlike the U.S the 400 bandits are really abundant here.

Welcome, elbandito!

You're right - the 400 Bandit is not common in the U.S. In fact, I've never heard of it. Is it a small-displacement in-line 4 cylinder, or a parallel twin? We'd love to see some pics!

Welcome and thrice welcome. I think that I am the only SA guy on the boards so far, hope you stick around.

Thanks for the replies and welcomes :)

sapaul: South Africans seem to be a pretty rare species when it comes to forums, maybe it's because internet access is still quite overpriced here...

Toyuzu:It's a small displacement(screaming) inline 4-cylinder
The Bandit 250 and Bandit 400, launched in 1989, had a liquid-cooled inline-four engines, mounted on trellis (steel) frame. The high-reving engines are derived from the GSX-R250 and GSX-R400 with lots of power for their sizes, the Bandit 250 had about 45 bhp, the 400cc version about 59 bhp. Both models had 4 to 1 exhaust systems and disc brakes (the 400 had double disc at the front, the 250 had single disc).
