Hello,
I have been reading this forum for a while now, I finally found a bike, just picked it up today. I found a 1984 Honda Magna with 19000 miles and in great condition. I just have a couple questions, I want to replace the handlebars with some that are a bit wider. The factory bars are too close together, does anybody have any suggestions for good bars to use? I also want to replace the pipes, I don't want it too loud just a deeper tone. Also the tip of the stock mufflers are the only place that have rust on the entire bike. Any ideas on replacments? Again I appreciate all the help.

I bought my bars at bing.com. Lots of choices. Before you start looking, take some measurements on yours - Height, Width, and Pullback. That will give you a place to start when you are comparing.

One thing to think about. Even a small change in bar dimensions can make a major difference in feel on the bike.

I appreciate all the help, but I actually solved my handlebar problem today. I loosened up the bolts and just rotated them upward a little bit. Now they feel fine, its almost like night and day. So now I am just looking for exhaust slip ons that will give it a deep loud tone. Any suggestions for exhaust?

There are different types of slip ons you could use (depends on what you wish to spend) just DON"T FORGET if you change the pipes you have to adjust or change your air intake!!!

I might have jumped too soon, but I found a pair of brand new jardine turn outs last night for $100. So I bought them, I am not looking for anything too loud just a deeper tone. Has anybody ever used this style of exhaust before? What do you mean when you say I will have to adjust my intake?

different pipes will affect your back pressure and thus the performance of your engine. You have to make adjustments for this. For example if I put screamin eagle slip ons on my sportster I also have put new barts in my air intake to ajust for the increased air flow. Speak to a local wrench for advice....hope this helps.
