I bought an 06 Suzuki GS500f and white smoke comes off the header after it runs for a bit. Is this something I should worry about?

Howdy! How's your bike now? Does the smoke immediately goes away or consistent? We'll be checking this neat GS500 with new brake pads and tires from 4Wheelonline just last month. It randomly blow bluish white smoke at exhaust. These bikes are known for burning oil.

Might be a Coolant Leak: If there's a coolant leak into the combustion chamber, it can produce white smoke. Check your coolant levels and look for any signs of leakage around the engine.

Really for these types of engines you definitely need to have them checked periodically. Make sure the operating cycle is stable. When the engine is running and warming up, the water in the exhaust system can evaporate and create white smoke. This usually happens when the bike is running short distances or in cold weather.

GS500f bikes are air-cooled.

White smoke coming off the headers of your 2006 Suzuki GS500F can be concerning, but the cause and severity can vary.

Have you checked your coolant levels?
