I am trying to find a motorcycle with a speedometer that is run off the rear wheel. I need the rear wheel and rear suspension from a motorcycle for a project and ideally would like it with a speedometer. Any suggestions?

Get a bicycle speedo. they use a small magnet on the spokes and a pickup coil. Mount it to the rear wheel, viola! rear wheel speedo.
Walmart sells em for $8-12.00
This way you can use any rear wheel assy you can get your hands on.

I thought about that, but I was concerned that the magnet would just fly off. The max speed this will be going is 60-65 MPH, so I guess that may work. Thanks.

I know guys who use bicycle speedos on thier streetfighters and take them weeeelllllll past 120 mph regularly, and the magnets don't fly off. Most cycle speedos also don't read past 99 mph, so if you want yours to, choose carefully.
Have a look at this... speedo, tach, HP readings, quartermile times.... more useless crud than you'll ever need...... but pretty slick unit.

The Sigma Sport BC800 reads well over 100mph and is used commonly. I have a cateye unit that starts over at 54mph works good and keeps yout aritmatic skills fresh. Get some JB weld and stcik the mag on there, it'll stay put. You'll probably have to extend the wires (I hear the wireless models react to slow for moto use.) to reach from the back wheel, also you need to devise a way of lighting up the display.
