Hey all,
I aint been on here in a while but Im back with a question. What is the best way to keep from getting a flat tire on the trail? Does that tire sealant goop work?? If so which one works best on a dirtbike? Or is it better to carry the stuff to replace a tube? Oh by the way... I finally got a dirtbike about 2 months ago. I was finally able to lay my old 3 wheeler to rest. I now have a 2003 Honda XR650R. She is reall fast. I can keep up with my buddies now... LOL.

Thanks for the feedback...

Personally I have always been impressed with that green slime goop . It really works without damaging your tires .

Just had my first experience using Slime. Had a flat front tire 2 wks. ago. Happended after I got home and went to ride the next day to find front tire flat as a pancake. I aired up tire and went flat in 6 min.
Then I bought Slime and followed directions and now tire is holding air. BTW, Before using Slime I checked the tire using soapy water and looking for leak bubbles and could find none. Even checked sidewall and valve. Anyway, i can recommend it but beware of some "off" brands. I understand it can cause the rims to rust.

You can buy extra-thick, heavy-duty inner tubes at most bike shops that sell tires. Or you can spend big and get some Bib Mousse inserts, but they have lifespan and top speep limitations.

Those mouse things are to expensive and too limited. But does that green slime stuff really work?

I don't like tireslime. It is messy and won't seal a hole much bigger than a thorn or nail puncture. Snake bites and tears will just spray slime all over your bike while you roll to a stop on your flat. But some guys like the stuff... personal choice....
Your probably best off with some thick tubes and adding a few more psi than normal. You can run slime in them or not, depending on your decision.
