Center Stand and Battery Questions

Alright, two almost completely unrealted bike questions.

First, I'm looking to get a center stand for my 1974 CB350, I was looking on eBay, and found one for a 1972 CB350. Do you think this will fit on my bike? And if not, how much modifying will I have to do? I'm fairly inexperianced when it comes to alot of bike work, as this is my first bike, so any input would be appreciated.

Second, I went to pick up a replacement battery for my bike, at Canadian Tire, and they didn't have any info for bikes older then 1975 (figures a year after my bike was built). The battery that was from there originaly they stopped producing in 2003, so should I be able to use any standard 12 volt 12 amp hrs battery as long as it fits on the bike? or should I get in contact with a motorcycle place and get one from them? It may cost more from a bike store, but I'd probley be taking more chances getting one at Canadian Tire.

Thanks :)

YB12A-A or 12N12A-4A-1

These are Yuasa Battery Numbers.

Someone has them, they are a common size. They can be cross referenced to other brands

My CB360t uses it.

While any 12V, 12A battery that fits will do, you also need to have the terminals in the right spot or you will have to modify the wiring.

did your bike come fitted with a center stand and you just lost it? in that case it might fit. If you did not have a center stand at all, you'll have to weld brackts onto the frame etc. Too much trouble since you have to get the angle right to balance the bike on center stand..... plus you need to be sure that the brackets are strong enough etc.

If you need to a centerstand just to level the bike for maintenance, repair etc, I suggest investing that money in a bike jack or motorcycle stand, rather than paying $12 plus the same on shipping for a rusty main stand

I think your bike already has the mounting tabs for a centerstand from stock, they would make all the frames the same way. And, while I don't know for sure, I would think the centerstand from a '72 should fit your '74 with little or no modification. But that's no promise....

Yeah, I checked it out, and the mount is there, so why not give it a shot. Whats 12$+s/h. And if it dosn't fit, I'll just put it back up on eBay and maybe get some of my money back. Thanks everyone :D
