I've been doing a lot of research lately. I've found that this site is great and most posters have great attitudes. Thanks for all the wisdom and humor.
PS. Just bought my first bike. Suzuki LS650! Yeah!!!

Welcome to TMW, Suzuki650! That's a great bike you have there. Have you taken the MSF course yet? Worth every penny if not. You should check out the Ohio forum. There are quite a few Ohio riders here - you might be able to hook up with some riding buddies.

I missed the registration deadline for the course. I'm going to each class to try and get on standby.
This may sound crazy, but until I take the course, I'm going to sit on my bike in the garage and ride it on my driveway (and maybe right in front of my house) until I take the course or find a safe place to practice...
I'd rather sit on a bike that I don't know how to ride yet, than drive a car!

Doesn't sound crazy at all. It sounds smart, in fact. MSF will give you the skills and confidence you need to ride safely. And it IS fun just to sit on them. Most of us riders won't admit it, but we all do that from time to time, especially in the winter. The neighbors sometimes complain if our "vrooom, vrooom" noises get too loud.

Hey congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum. I agree, the MSF will give you the skills to ride safely, plus alot of states will waive the testing requirements if you sucessfully pass the MSF course.

As Toyuzu stated , you are doing the right thing .
Welcome to the forums .
Oh and if you set a big fan in front of you in the garage while you're sitting on your bike it will most definitely enhance your experience.............
Kindest regards, Wizzard

I'm from Cincy too, Mason to be exact. You might try and get into a MSF on standby. They offer them at the Scarlet Oaks, Live Oaks and Great Oaks campus. I actually just had to reschedule my class from Oct 8th to the Sept 28th class so I know there is at least one spot open on that date.
