Well, I got home from work yesterday and the local Harley Davidson dealership had called and left a message. Seems someone had dropped from the BRC course this weekend and I was next on the waiting list. Wow, moved from the November course to this weekend. Oh sh*T! Now I have to answer 126 questions before Friday at lunch!

Caveat.... had a trip planned for this weekend with wife. Now I'm in the doghouse...... Gotta love perfect timing!

Don't worry about the MSF test. Most of the questions are obvious. Use common sense.

Well, today was the first day of riding. Everything went well except one panic stop where I locked up the front tire. I managed to plant my feet and stop the bike before visiting the pavement. The instructor said "nice recovery!" I need some more practice in the fast stop arena....

The written test was a joke. I'm not sure why they even bother with it????

I'll let you know how the riding test goes.

Later!

I also did my first riding day for my MSF today. No major issues, nobody dropped any bikes (a rarity according to the instructor). My only close call was on my first panic stop I locked up the rear and it started to go sideways but I got out of the rear brake and got it straight before it got to cockeyed. Aside from that spent most of the day chasing the cruisers (I am on a dual sport), could usually run right up to em on the countersteering exercise as I could manage a lot more lean angle (even some of the students were scraping pegs on the cruisers). I did pretty good considering I am the only person in the class that started with zero riding experience.

Completed the course.

Well, I completed the course this afternoon. I only lost 3 points on the driving test. Had the highest score in the group! Also won the "Weaving Wonder" award because of the speed and agility I took the slolom courses. Needless to say, I am :D !!!! Now just have to get my own bike.....
