As of now im thinking the Kawasaki Ninja 500 or the Suzuki GS500f

i went bike shopping today. I talked to this one sales guy and he was completely honest with me. He broke everything down about how lots of people say to just go for the dream bike, but its better to start with somthing easy. After he said this i knew i could trust him.

he priced his ninja 500 for about $5000 + a 150 freight charge that i need to pay because of gas prices he says. He doesnt stock the suzuki cycles but im sure i could find one. as of now im kind of leaning toward the ninja. its so comfertable its amazing.

Try sitting on a GS500F. I personally like the stylings of the GS better, but it's a matter of opinion. BUT if i were to buy either of them and i was more comfortable on the ninja, that's what i'd go with.

i would sit on the suzuki before you buy the ninja. you might find that the suzuki is more comfy thant the ninja. either way, both good bikes to learn on.

I agree. before I bought my S50. i sat on both the gs500 and ninja 500 (no test rides around here). The gs500 just seems to give the feel of plush for some reason. had i really been interested in that type of bike I would have gotten the suzuki.

Well, I LOVE the Suzuki's styling, I've sat on one before and it feels really nice, a lot bigger than the ninja. But I have heard it's underpowered and MCN did a shootout with both and the ninja blew the Gs500f away.
they have the article posted on www.MCNews.com check it out, and definitely sit on the Suz before you decide on the ninja. Both are great anyway.

It all depends on the price.
