Connecting a gas tank

This sounds rather simple but I'm wondering if I connected my gas tank hoses correctly. I'm pretty sure about the main fuel hose but the other two I'm not sure which one is the depression and which one is the pressure coming from the intake of the engine.

Here is a pic, I just hope I haven't been running on the wrong plug for a 1000 miles.

Thanks

Part 29 is the vacuum hose that comes off the engine to open the petcock when the bike is running.

Part 27 is a vent line from the tank - this takes excess pressure/overflow fuel and vents it out below the frame.

If you hooked up the vent line and the vacuum line backwards, your bike would not run; ditto with the fuel and vacuum lines

excessive fuel consumption is generally the result of a rich condition - are your plugs sooty and black?

if they are, you may want to check the float levels in your carburetors to see if they are set too high, and also check your idle mix screw. If you haven't gotten your carbs sync'd, you may want to do that.
