Whats the bluebook on that model? The others selling for 5K might not be getting that in the end. Maybe its a typo, or maybe the cover is 2100 and you have to call for the bike price

Every once in a while someone sells something very cheap because of a divorce or death. Maybe it's one of those situations. Let us know when you find out.

A woman over here sold her husbands Lotus for £1 on eBay after finding him in flagrante delicto...

Another possibility that occurs is that its a first bike and the owner has scared himself silly and just wants rid.

There is some sort of finance register over here that will record if a vehicle has had a smash, cant rember what it is called or anything - maybe there is the same stateside?

Whatever the story she is worth checking out, just check her out carefully...

Beware....if the bike is too far away to personally go examine, it could be a scam, which is far more likely than the other scenarios presented.

be cautious---the meeting place to finalize the deal may be behind a dumpster.dont go alone and unarmed.

People legitimately selling things don't have disconnected phones. It's a scam.

Or he needs the money to pay a bunch of bills...Did he answer your e-mail? See if you can dig him up in the phone book if he does, and gives you his name. It's cheap enough to do a little leg work, just in case..is there a VIN #?
