i was wondering how difficult it would be to change handlebars and pegs on my bike.
i am thinking of making the handlebars more sporty, flatter overall, and moving the pegs up and to the rear. i understand that if i move the pegs i should move the brake and shifter pedals too.
for each of these things, how difficult/time consuming do you recon they would be?

If you are going for lower bars, it is a very simple process as you shouldn't need to change clutch/throttle/brake cables/lines.

The pegs will not really be a problem but they will be costly as you will have to get the complete rear sets if you want to change the position of your feet.

For both they would require minimal time and effort as it is simply removing a few bolts installing the new parts and putting the bolts back in.

Take a look, and a few measurements around the master cylinder/tachometer/right fork area. Sometimes lower bars create a clearance problem if the pullback or width of the center section isn't adequate. For example...I had to make a spacer to space my brake lever/reservoir assembly 1/2 inch forward to clear my right fork leg. This is because my forks are raised in the triple tree to lower the front end. With drag bars, this was necessary, but with clubm,an bars it wouldn't be. With superbike bars, it wasn't, either. CLip-ons would cause my brake line to hit my faring. Just depends on how low you go, and how wide the center section, and how far back the pullback is. Measure to be safe. I didn't and was unpleasantly surprised at how much work I caused myself by using drag bars instead of clubman. You will probably need to drill a hole in the new bars for your throttle housing, too. Just my.02. Oh here's .02 more... ...Rearset pegs/controls can cause clearance problems with your kickstart, if you have one, and if they are'nt rearset enough. You are probably in for some trial, and error...best of luck to you in the process..please post pics as you do it!
