What do u think of this bike? NEW USER 1st post!

its a GSXR1100 i dont know if its a 1996 or 1997 or 1998. its used and a 45 year old man had it. what do u guys think about this bike? i dont know what he wants for it. i just would like to know of your overall thought on performance and reliability. should i get a 1100 or a 600? why or why not?

Have you rode before? I'm not saying it's impossible to learn on that bike because it isn't. But in general that's not a bike I'd recommend to a noob.

ive ridden a 600 and a 250. they just dont have the "jump" i am looking for. i just want something bigger and badder. i just am not sure about the handling. or the reliability

Question is, how many miles have you ridden on the 600 and 250? If it's not thousands, then think again. It's not a good idea.

If a modern 600 doesn't provide enough "jump," your idea of a fast motorcycle belongs at the drag strip and the drag strip only.

Maybe you are just looking for the wrong type of bike. Sportbikes are made to rev, not "jump"

If you are looking for some torque, why not try something like the SV1000?

Maybe a pogo stick will give you the right kind of "jump"

thanks guys. i just want more low end power. i just want something different than your 600 series like the cbrs r6s and so on. i am truly wondering about the handling differences between your normal 600 and 1000 bikes. is it that much of a difference?
