I just got my rim back from getting it modified to fit a 240 tire. We put it on the machine so we could shave down the weld spots and repolish it. I thought it looked pretty cool spinning with the blue powder coat so I took this video. What ya guys think? Will it look cool spinning on the bike?

Cool. Was the wheel originally a chrome item with the chrome stripped off on the now painted area?
(I hope you understand what I mean, its late and I know what I mean in my head but it dosnt look right on the screen bwah!)

The rim was originally fully polished with transparent powder coat in the center only as seen in the video. The lips were left polished. After the welds are shaved down, the new wider lips will get polished again.

Not quite what I was hoping you'd done... Looks cool though.
I want to powdercoat the wheels of the CB, but I as I understand it the paint wont stick to the crome.

Kal, powder coat is not paint and it does bond to chrome. I have a couple of parts powder coated that are chrome instead of polished aluminum and you cannot ruin it. Just so you know, powder coat is not anything like paint. If done properly with a professional gun and oven, you will not be able to scratch or peel powder coat off. It is extremly durable. The shop I use showed me a sample piece that he has powder coated when I first went in there and he told me to hit it with a hammer as hard as I could. If the powder coat came off, he would do any piece I want for free. I ended up paying for everything I had done that day!
