I just finished a 160 mile ride on a 2002 Vulcan 800 with the stock seat, and boy, did my rear take on a new shape... Could anyone recommend a gel seat cover or something that would make a long ride a little more comfortable, short of shelling out the big bucks for a new seat?
Thanks!

Get the Mustang solo seat, it's worth the expense. My girlfriend used to complain about being sore all the time after a long road trip until she got the Mustang for her '01 Vulcan 800 Classic. Now she can ride 11 hour days with me without any pain. FWIW, I also have the Mustang solo on my FLHT.

If that's the air seat, it is reputed to be the best solution. I bought a "butt-buffer", abd it just doesn't do the job at all on my marble-seated Yamaha.

I have lePera gel seats on most of my bikes and they're great. Worth the money. It even makes my 87 sporty almost tolerable to ride!

I got a suzuki gel seat for my bike, and I hate it. You should look into Corbin seats. I love those.

AirHawk!! Can't go wrong... 60 day 'you bet your "O Ring"' money back guarantee.
You can keep it when you sell the bike and use it on your next ride, cause they're not custom fit and go on top of your regular saddle.

I think that's the one I was thinking of--price is about $190 or so, but said to be the best thing out there.
