Interesting choice for a first time rider. Who said 650's are not suitable as a first time bike for women.
The fact that it is a dual makes it interesting to me.

the f650s are just barely 50 hp. Nice and light and not too tweaky in the throttle. Plus the BMW comes with ABS as an option.

I do not prescribe to this "womens bike" thing. Women come in all shapes and sizes just like men and they should choose what is right for them. Sticking up for the beemers a little, they do seem to be gentle on lady riders. The 650GS, Rockster, 1150R and the K1200GT all seem to be well behaved enough without the need for bulging muscles to control them.

I think the new twin may also be a popular choice.
