Just got a motorcycle a couple of weeks ago its a 1982 yamaha maxim 400. I'm still working on it getting it in shape to run. It was stored for 9 years. I was able to get it turned over and run it for a little but I knew it was coming apart to really get it taken care of. I have a new tank on order because the other was rusted out.

It looks like it was dropped on its right side but nothing to serious was done. I am looking forward to getting it started learning to ride. The MFS course is all full through December but I hope to take that ASAP.

This site has already been a great source of information I hope to be able to contribute some information of my own sometime.

yeah, I need to get some pics. I'll try to snap some now so you can see the bike in pieces and then once again when I get it all cleaned up and put back together. I really wish I could go back and take pictures of what it was when I first got the tarp off of it and it saw daylight for the first time in 9 years!

Haha that's the nudie channel if I remember correctly...

My first bike was an '82 KZ440. Also had been dropped on the right side, but an excellent one to learn on.
