more advice please

Something i didn't think to ask the dealer when i bought the bike today...as i said earlier the scooter i bought was pre-registered to the shop . What happens about the V5 form? Am i right in thinking the dealer has to fill that in and send it off to DVLA? What happens then ? Will the V5 be given to me on Monday with the scooter when they deliver? Will i be able to ride on Monday (i have insurance) ...or will i have to wait for paperwork or something? Sorry if these are dumb questions but i have never owned a vehicle of any sort before.
