Yes Folks it's an Event all right, our usually DRY river, the 'TODD' is running!

My daughter & I were lucky enough to catch it beginning. This means you run down to the sandy river & wait for the flow to catch you....then you 'run away' from it & wait again.



It's weird I tell ya! & kids love it! In fact everyone around, tourists & locals come out to see this novel event!
Not to mention some really wicked Lightning & Thunder just to make things interesting!


Lousy buggas wont build a friggin bridge!

Some years it flows several times, other years - Nothing!

Some people are evn silly enough to try rafting or Canoeing but they usually come to grief due to all the sediments, sticks , branches & even TREES whipping down stream!

Course, we both may be too old to outrun it by then......

neat. yeah, i guess to see water where there is rarely any, and certainly not enough to build a bridge must be an interesting experience.

well, hopefully the water stays around a lot longer and after a few years they will build a bridge...

The 2 existing bridges we have are in the wrong place....gee who thought of that Idea?

The way it is now....people from both ends of town have to go way out of their way just to cross the river. This creates a huge traffic problem, because there are round-a-bouts to go thru, people sit there for ages, mostly giving way to no-one! instead of GOING!

Very frustrating in a car, on a bike I just go around them all!!!

Now the swimming water holes in the Outback will be perfect for this Hot Summer!
