Oil analysis results for my '86 Radian

#1 Unread post by Skier »

Always wondered how my bike's oil was doing. Here are the results:

It seems my bike does quite fine with about 1400 mile oil change intervals. Also looks like no important metal pieces are flying around in the oil, either. Clean bill of health, happy mind, well worth the $20 for the oil analysis.

The extra fuel in the oil keeps me from having to top it off, I guess.

As it says in the comments section. The greatest benefit of oil testing is trend analysis. Once you've established a baseline for you engine, each subsequent test will be much more meaningful. I get oil an oil analysis done on my plane everytime I change the oil. It never occured to me to do the same on the bike. I think i'll start next time.
