Quick sport bike question

I am looking at getting my first sport bike and need to know the total length of most sport bikes. I don't want it sitting outside so I am gettting a shed 7X7 (garage isn't an option). Is 7X7 big enough for most sport bikes? I also found the wheelbase measurements 54.5 inches but I don't know if this is the total length of the bike or maybe just where the tires touch the ground.
Thanks.

I'd think 7x7 would be fine...if the wheelbase is 54 in (from contact point to contact point) which is 4 feet 6 in, then you've got a bit of room.
Turn it at a 45 degree angle so now you've got almost 10 feet to work with and viola, you've got lots of room for your bike...
Just my mathematical mind at work...yeeeeeeees, yeeeeees..

My gs500 fit in the back of my truck bed with the tailgate up, which is only 6ft, so ya my bike would fite under your shed. What bike are you getting?

I now have a cover for my cars & bikes, but before than, I thought of getting a used 8 X 6 pick-up camper shell and setting it on top of a 4' high frame made from ply wood. That would have plenty of room for a bike.

A 7x7' shed should be big enough for most sport bikes or two. Just hop over to the homepage of this forum and click on the TMW Guides and the exact dimensions for the bike you have in mind.
For example an 06 GS500F has a 81.9" overall length and a 55.3 wheelbase. Most sportbikes have bigger engines but are not any bigger in size than this.

Thanks for the replys. I am not sure what bike I am getting yet. I bought a F4i a couple weeks ago but got my money back due to some starting issues.

I'm getting the impression we're talking about first bike of any kind, here. Most people would be able to figure out the answer to the question starting the thread on their own, I would think.

I think my hayabusa is about as long as a sportbike gets, and it almost fits in the 6'6" bed of my truck, I have hauled smaller sport bikes in the same truck so I know that 7' will work.
