Well, after two years of being a full-time employee at the Columbus Zoo, a full-time single father of three, and a full-time student at DeVry University, I am proud to say that one of those has finally come to an end.

No, I didn't get fired or sell my kids to the circus, instead I finally graduated. I had an Associates in Electronics from 1997 which I obtained from DeVry University, and I now have a BS in Technical Management from the same. It hasn't really sunk in quite yet, but the lack of homework every night for the last five days has been....well....nice!

I didn't graduate with honors or with any fancy Latin words attached to my Degree, but I did receive all A's and B's (save for one "C" I managed to get in a class I was taking during the break-up of my marriage) and I got A's in all four of my final classes, including the two that were specific to my Degree (PROJ330 and PROJ420). All in all it's been one helluva ride and I'm glad it's over. Now it's time to leave the Zoo in pursuit of a salary more befitting of my experience and credentials.

In any case, I'd like to thank everyone in this forum for providing one of my favorite places to go to unwind, vent, and swap stories with like-minded individuals, even if the latter only pertains to our love for motorcycles!

Congrats. Im in college right now, Weber State University, persuing a Criminal Justice drgree. I know how overwhelming it can be, and I don't have a full time job or and youngins running around. Take some time to celebrate, if you already havent, and enjoy it.

So is the Columbus Zoo gonna let you wire up some aminals, kinda like the band at Bear Country in Disneyland? I sense many possibilties for mischief here.....

No, but I have been toying with the idea of inserting a few "choice" sound effects into all the custom MP3 players I've built and installed all over grounds.

Good luck in finding something that suits what you have studied for. Pretty sure it will be the Zoo's loss.

Thank you all for the kind words! As dysfunctional as we are I still consider TMW to be like an online family and have felt more at home here than on any other forum I've ever joined.

The Meanie will be getting a Hard Krome Sideburner, a Big-Air Kit, and a fuel processor over the winter. My truck will likely be getting some much needed goodies, too. That's an '05 KFX700 from Kawasaki with a 700cc V-twin engine and a CV transmission. I'd like to get my kids a couple 50's or 80's as well and get them involved in off-roading. My daughter will be seven in April and that's the age I started riding, so I think it's time.

Of course, I'd also like to buy a boat, a house, and a sports car so....
