new arrivals

#1 Unread post by mysta2 »

so I guess I kinda freaked out when my project bike got too close to finished, because I just put two more savlage yard treasures in my garage! :)

Another '75 CL360 that I want to do similar to my first... but I've got a couple of new ideas for.

And a mid to late 70s CB750f, this was more or less a whim because it was in the same lot as the 360, I went back for it the next day (today). I haven't decided what exactly to do with it... it will definiately get the standard "simplicate and add lightness" treatment. I've always been against the 4bangers because they always look so fat, but this one (maybe just because it's missing the seat and headlight) managed to seem narrower and the potential was easy to see. That bank of 4 carbs is pretty intimidating though, this thing's not going to be easy to tune, but when she's singing she's going to scream

Nice additions. I kinda feel the same about fours. Although I too would buy one if I got a good deal.

I'm kicking myself now because I had an opportunity last week to buy an almost complete XS650 for $125. If only I had a garage I'd have bought it on the spot. It was in rough shape but would have made a cool rat bike.
