I realize that anything that is said on here becomes liable should the seller choose to take exception. But I was wondering if anyone has dealt with these guys before, and what sort of experience they have had.
They're selling a bike that I want. Honda 599 for $7500, $1500 under MSRP. They are 3 hours out of town, and I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect should I end up down there looking to buy?
Thanks in advance.

Jeff, you might want to have a look at Turple Bros in Red Deer before you buy anything at Blackfoot.
They might have a decent price on the bike, but they will bend you over if you ever need service there.
I'll swing by Turple's tomorrow after work and see what their price on a 599 is for you.

Hey Jeff,
I've bought a couple of bikes from them and it's very much like buying a DVD player from Future-Shop. They have an unbeatable price but don't expect any recognition after the sale. (Except in my case where I bought from the owner 12 years ago and he still remembers me by name.....he's not on the floor anymore as he runs the race team). They literally have people lined up on the weekend to buy bikes even with having a dozen or so sales people on the floor. This might make it impersonal, but the reason is price and volume. As for parts and accessories they are tough to beat as well. It's a different bike market than 15 years ago, but the upside is that bikes are relatively cheap compared to the old days....
On another note: G.W. Cycle will match their price almost everytime and sometimes beat it. But in the case of the 599, I doubt that there is any more room to move.....

Well, I wasn't expecting to make any friends there. And I wouldn't be going back for service anytime soon as I live in Edmonton. But it's listed at $1000 cheaper then anything around here. My plan is to take their add into some of the Edmonton Honda retailers and see what they have to say about it. But I wouldn't have a problem with getting a lift down there and biking back some day over the summer. Get everything arranged before I head down, plates, registration, insurance etc. Then just stop in, visit some family, maybe meet up with the Calgary team and bike back.
I'd have to service it myself, or find a local place, but that isn't a bad thing.

Hi Jeff
Bruces description is very true from what I heard. But if no one can match the price go down and get it.Then get it serviced in a local shop.I know it would be nice to get it from your local shop but it probaly wont make that much difference to your level serivce.By the way very very nice bike if you decide to get it.
