Sabre photoshoot..

#1 Unread post by axidjw »

Was an awesome chilly sunny day here in georgia so me and my next door neighbor went for a photoshoot..came out pretty good..she was a good sport and really enjoyed herself (she loves the sabre).
Go to my homepage at www.csrascootertrash.com and scroll down to the bottom and click the "Models" link and she is the one in the black leather boots and mini skirt..

So uh...you get her number? I think she digs you from some of those pictures...

Or unless she's a professional model and used to doing poses like that.
Have fun on the open /¦\

I'm confused, when did Honda's Sabre morph into a big V-twin cruiser? I rode a Sabre when they first came out in '82 and they weren't V-twins or even remotely cruiser in style. Did they just take the name and reuse it on a totally unrelated bike?

Maybe I'm just getting old,,,,Dagnabbit! :-)

Yep, the name was re-used.
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

Don't like cruisers, but that is something of a head turner. The paintwork is... er, eyecatching (might even require a visit to the optician after you've stared at it too long). Does it run on rails? :P Just kidding, that's one hell of a dramatic looking bike.

the bike suspension is done(the rear are sickle struts(9")-this brought the sabre down 4" in the rear from stock. The front has 5 degree trees which lowered the front about 1 1/2" and i cut down the collar spacers in the fork tubes by 1" bringing the front down 2 1/2.
When i do any signifacant highway travel i put shocks on the rear (allbeit-those are cut down 2" from stock as well because the front can not be lower than the front because of trail and tree stress issues.
The struts are no where as bad as everybody told me they would be-until you get it on the highway and go about 60mph and then they start to wear on you but for country driving and around town-it cant be beat and the low long big profile of the bike is incrediable..i was very happy with how it turned out.
The sabre name was re-used in 2000 -to this newer model-although mine has been pretty dramatically altered from the stocker in 03..haha
Catherine really did well for the camera-she was very relaxed and she was having fun and it shows in the pics..
Thanks to everybody for the compliments
I hope that answers all the questions
