The DC police have a few bikes with sidecars. I bet they are useful and I've always wanted one. However, I've heard they aren't as stable, you can't take turns as fast, and if no one is in it, you should keep some weight there to keep the wheel from coming off the ground in turns.
I think it would be fun though

I would love a sidecar rig - there's a Ural dealer not far from me. If I experience a windfall it would be difficult to resist one - they are fairly priced in my opinion.

I think they'd be a kick in the pants. There was a dealer down the road that recently sold a scooter with a side car attached. I thought that it would be a ton of fun to run errands in or just cruize around with the wife or kids.

What about these. My cousin used to drive these around back in the homeland.

I have to make a sidecar like that last one.
Do you have to get a sidecar registered? Is it just considered an accessory like say... a saddlebag?

Anything that lets me ride in the snow is SWEET!
nice pic of that ural...cool bikes.
I bet any hack, particular a dual sport, would be a blast crosscounty bike for some appalachian backroads..especially in the winter.
heres another ural
