What would be the best way to touch up a cracked fairing so it didn't look as bad. I'm not interested in getting a replacement, as the bike is old and a replacement would be nigh impossible to find. What products might help in my situation.

If it's abs plastic, and it very well may be...plain old super glue will do it. Try it on the inside, and see how it works. If it doesn't, you can probably weld it with a woodburning pen. Either way, get down into the crack by separating it before gluing,a nd getting the glue right in between the edges of the crack. It dries quickly, oso figure out the game plan before you apply it. If the glue desn't work, geoovit ouit a little on the inside with a, exacto knife and run the pen between the good plastic on both sidea as it melts them together. Melt it as deeply as you can without burning through, but if you do, fix it with polyester filler, prime and paint. You can try kneadable epoxy on a well sanded surface ...40 grit for deep scratching roughness. Press it in firmly, but beware it doesn't stick to some plastics, it will fall off if that's the case. It's cheap enough at walmart or auto parts stores. I've used all three methods with good success.
