Is it better that it has a female owner, or worse?

It always gets me when that kind of thing is advertised. "Adult Owned" and the sort don't mean crap if the adult tosses the thing around and beats the "pee" out of it. As for miles, it's probably good for 50,000 more at least. Just keep up on sevice and repair.

Looking at how my wife takes care of her car, I'd say worse!

higher miles usually means its been ridden regularly and maintained. Not nesscessarily a bad thing.

the thing to watch for is low miles on an older bike. It probably has been sitting collecting rust most of its life

My 1995 Virago 1100 has over 126,000 km on it, (approx. 78,300 miles) and it's only just starting to show signs of it's age. In the last month I've noticed that the oil consumption is starting to show. But with that said, I have been riding the bike pretty hard. Other than using oil, the bike runs incredibly well and I carry a litre of oil to top up if ever neccessary while I'm on the road. If the bike looks in good shape, sounds and feels good on the road, I would say go for it, at 50,000 miles, it's almost broken in...
