With that being said, what are the states in the closest vacinity with the cheapest rates? Guys on here took theirs for $15-$25 bucks a pop. I'm trying to find one of those states so I can just go on a ghetto road trip. Drive a couple of hundred miles, take the first day of the course, find some place to park the car and sleep in it. Then take the second day, and I'm home free. The law lets you transfer endorsements from other states to your own so this is a pretty good plan.

I don't know how much it would cost or even if they allow out of state riders but, you can click on the PA and/or national links in my signature. Hope they help ya out.

$300-375. In the rural upstate parts its about around $300. Here in the city, it seems like all the schools in the five boroughs charge $375.

Well the 10-15 dollar ones are because the state pays for it.
Mine was $180.

Stop complaining and pony up the money. If I can do it for a $250 course, I am sure you can for $375. Most places will charge added $$ for out-of-state, I know GA and SC do (my closest 2 states).
Be glad you aren't in Canada, I have heard horror stories about their fees.

In Ontario, the course fee where I taught was $350CDN - hardly a horror story.
