HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Help!!! I lost my key to my 99 Yamaha r1 and my handle bars are locked. What should I do? Can I brake the ignition lock and get another one? Please help.

I would suggest calling your Yamaha dealership straight away and see what they can do for you. They may be able to obtain the "key code" by using the VIN# on the bike. Not sure how much that would cost, but I'd start with them first.

Generally if you can dismantle your ignition you will find a set of numbers
that you can take to the stealership and have a key made from .

btw , if you bought the bike new you should have received 2 sets of keys . And in lieu of that if you did buy it new as Loonette said the stealership should have paper work with the key number .
