How come there are no 125~400cc bikes in Canada? With exception of Kawasaki 200cc. Honda CBR400RR isnt even available in Canada. Whats going on?

I love small bikes. They're fuel efficient and great commuters. The Kawi you mention must be the Kawi Eliminator 125cc. I've not heard of a Kawi 200cc road bike. While this 125-400cc class is huge in Europe and Japan, there's nothing much in North America. If you persist in wanting a bike in this class you have 2 options: 1. Go used '80s UJM, or 2. Get a scooter. '80s UJM require maintenance but they are somewhat available. It's not ideal as they are a 20 year old design. The MC manufacturers are pushing us all to go scooter for small bikes. No shifting, no tank between your knees, but they are available in the 125-400cc class. Again it's not ideal because I enjoy shifting, but if you want a reliable and new bike, go scooter.waterloo wrote:How come there are no 125~400cc bikes in Canada? With exception of Kawasaki 200cc. Suzuki Marauder 250, Suzuki DR200SE, Suzuki DR-Z400S, Kawasaki Eliminator 125, Kawasaki ZZ-R250, Kawasaki Super Sherpa, Honda CMX250C, Yamaha Virago 250, Yamaha TW200... or were you only talking about sport bikes like the old Kawi 250 Ninja?waterloo wrote:How come there are no 125~400cc bikes in Canada? Yep, that's pretty much the list. For road bikes you have 1 model per manufacturer, Kawi has 2. Total of 5 road MCs to choose from. You get 250ccs or go to 500ccs+ or get a scooter. For the 350M people in North America (Canada and US) that's not much of a consumer choice if you ask me. I ask the European, Korean and Chinese manufacturers to get their act together and give us more variety.Gummiente wrote:Suzuki Marauder 250, Suzuki DR200SE, Suzuki DR-Z400S, Kawasaki Eliminator 125, Kawasaki ZZ-R250, Kawasaki Super Sherpa, Honda CMX250C, Yamaha Virago 250, Yamaha TW200...
