I don't know a single person who rides that doesn't like something about their bike. So I gotta know, what do you ride, and why do you love it? Would you change something about it in general, or would you totally switch bikes?

2004 Honda 599 in yellow.

I love this bike because it looks like no other, unique styling that draws my eye along it's lines. The tank looks like nothing else, and the pipe tucked up ender the fender always makes me smile.

Everything is where I'd put it exactly, the pegs seat and bars all fit me perfectly. Plus it's crazy light, with some good low end grunt, I can throw it into corners, I no longer tell it what to do, I just ask and it does.

My major complaints stem from the fact it isn't a popular bike over here in North America, aftermarket parts are bloody annoying to get my hands on. I'm shipping stuff over from the UK entirely to often.

So who's next?

It's a bike.

It's stinkin' fast.

It's mine and I can do whatever the hell I want on it.

2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R

I love the seating possition and stock seat. A lot of owners of my bike complain and buy a Corbin, but for me the Corbin is like sitting on a curvey bit of hard plastic.

The bike looks old school. Not a shiney bit on the bike so I never have to spend time looking at streaks in my chrome. My bike is dirty most of the time and it doesn't look it from a distance.

Its green. I love the the bike is the ugly Kawasaki green. It just feels like it should be.

Fast fast fast. Power on demand. Get on the freeway and pick your spot power. Pass on the back road, quick and precise. Cut the curvey lines through the twisty roads with no problem.

Balance. The bike is very will balanced for me. I can move it slow without feeling clumbsy. Although I have been clumbsy and dropped in a few times, and the bike shows far less damage for the drops - this is the final thing I love. I beat the poor thing up and it barely shows.

I've owned 7 bikes in my 25 years of riding. The last 4 have been BMWs. My lastest bike, a 2005 BMW R1200RT was purchased April 15th of this year. This is by far my favorite bike of all time. What's not to like? It's got 110hp, only 570 lbs, huge detachable sidebags & trunk, 7.1 gal gas tank with a 350-375 mile range, cruise control, partially integrated abs brakes, electically controlled windshield, and last but not least heated grips & seats. All this is standard equipment. I average 500 miles a week on this bike and am about to cross 15,000 miles in just over 7 months. Yup, this is my baby!

1980 Suzuki GS 1000 G

This is not my only bike, but it's definatley my favorite.

Standard, old-school 4 into 2 exhaust, with four pipes running down the front of the 8 valve DOHC engine.

Best part about this bike is that every time I hit the ignition, it roars to life ready to run. It's never left me stranded. After 25 years, this bike still moves like a bat outta hell!

To Ions001 My second bike was a 1982 GS850G Suzuki. I had Vetter sidebags & top trunk along with a Windjammer fairing on it. It was black with gold pinstriping on it. Beautiful bike! After 3 years & 55k miles I sold it to my best friend. It looked showroom new when he rode it home. It had the most comfortable bench seat I've ever had on a bike. You brought back these memories with your GS1000 posting, Thanks.

1 - very fast, very smooth and evenly powered bike with plenty of triple-digit ponies available
2 - it gets going fast in a big big hurry
3 - awesome handling
4 - a ton of palpable, usable torque from an inline 4
5 - truly unique, oldschool looks. Looking out over acres of parked bikes, the rex is very very easy to spot.
6 - all day comfort on a very strong, capable bike. Not just the seating position, but the ride itself is smooth and slick.
7 - plenty of aftermarket support, easy mods, and an awesome owner's association.
8 - functions equally well as a commuter, tourer, Sunday twisty rider, or track day bike.

I love my 74 cb 360 because it's the first non-running bike that I brought back to life. And I love that it only has 2000 miles on it and I love that in spite of it's age it looks almost new. And I love that I got it for $300US.

I love my 85 Magna 700 because I can cruise 2 up on the interstate with my wife. And I love that I got it for $900!

Yes, I'm cheap, but I promise to blow all the savings on more motorcycles

I love my VTR1000. It was the bike that broke my new bike fever for a record 9 seasons and counting. The tank range is dodo and the bars are too low for touring but the bike has soul. Even after test riding all of the new stuff it still seems to suit me better than anything else....and it sounds cool too....
