and by shoes i mean are they made like nikes to where you're buying the name and not the shoe.
shoei and arai make nice helmets from the looks of it, but why are hjc and icon helmets so much cheaper?
im in the market for a helmet, and i want one that will protect me the best and also look good. price is not an option because i dont wanna crush my head on the ground...but i just found it odd at the huge price gaps...
are all helmets made the same? i know some brands fit dif...
your insight please.

I recently purchased an HJC CL14. For me it is a good fit at the right price, although it is the noisiest helmet I've ever owned.
The noise aspect would be a factor in whether I buy another HJC.

I bought that one that was reasonably prices and fit well. Though like said above the CL14 is BLOODY loud.
I stole a bunch of disposable earplugs from work... I'll use those till I replace this lid

Yes.
Though, sometimes, like the diff between nike's and wal-mart brand shoes, the overall build quality is better. IE better cooling vents, more comfortable, noise inside the helmet. Best thing to do is get the helmet that fits you best and get ear plugs if it's too noisey.

Consider a Nolan N100E flip-up. It's rated as good as the high dollar helmets. Here's a link to the outfit from which I purchased mine. It may not be cool in some folks' mind, but I got the "scream atcha YELLOW". I get more compliments on that helmet than anything other than my bike.

Has anyone hear experienced Z1R helmets. Price is low but I'm wondering about quality. I am amazed at the different prices for helmets, Have seen them from $50 to $900

I have a fulmer AFD4. It fits great, is more comfy than the HJC's in the same range and has a great safety review. You have to find a fulmer dealer to get one though. They take some kind of pride in not selling them any other way...
